San Elijo Hills is located just behind La Costa in sunny San Marcos, California. The first homes and condos were built in 2001. This quaint master planned community is complete with many beautiful neighborhoods, acres of walking and hiking trails, parks (including double peak park which on a clear day you can see all the way to Mexico to the south and Oceanside to the north), baseball fields, award winning San Elijo Elementary School and San Elijo Middle School, not to mention an abundance of wonderful shops and boutiques in downtown San Elijo Hills.
Once the majority of the homes were built in San Elijo Hills, it was time to start building downtown. The construction began in 2007 starting with the San Elijo Hills Chevron Gas Station and Albertson's, which also happens to feature a Starbucks inside. Then in 2009, more shops and stores were built and San Elijo Hills is now home to Postal Annex, Windmill Cleaners, French's Nail Salon, Yogurt Utopia and Hendo's Local Pizza & Pints. More business units are still available for lease so we look forward to more businesses open in the near future. View our San Elijo Hills Business Directory. One of the most frequent questions people ask is: "How long is it going to take me to get to the freeway?" In 2008 Twin Oaks Road was opened, connecting San Elijo Hills to highway 78 which makes commuting in North County much faster. Below you will find maps indicating the distance from downtown San Elijo Hills to the major highways, the I-5 & I-78. |
